Fearless by Robin Parrish - Day 2

This month the Christian Science Fiction & Fantasy Blog Tour (CSFF) is hosting Fearless by Robin Parrish, a novel in the allegorical tradition of Tolkien and Lewis, a powerful new myth for a new generation. Fearless is Book 2 in the Dominion Trilogy released this month by Bethany House.

Today is Day 2 of the Blog Tour. And this is Question 2 of 3 for Robin, the creator of INFUZE magazine.
Q. Tell us about your vision for INFUZE. How do you see this resource developing?
A: INFUZE is something truly unique. There seems to be a Renaissance building and happening with Christians involved in the arts, and INFUZE aims to be at the very heart of it. Our primary aim is to create conversations about the things that really matter in life -- life's big questions, if you will. The way that Tolkien and Lewis asked those questions in allegorical form, we examine pop culture looking for touchpoints that can launch us into those very same questions with people from all walks of life -- we make no distinction between "us" and "them." So many Christian publications or organizations, by mere title or definition, create walls between believers and non-believers. We strive to circumvent those barriers and create a common ground by drawing on things that everyone can relate to.

As such, we go further outside the box than some might expect. We examine books, movies, television, and music, sure. But we also look at stuff that some believers might see with trepidation, like comic books and video games. It's a massive undertaking, and we're in the middle of a major overhaul that is going to make sure our energies are equally divided among all of these various creative mediums.

Thanks, Robin! Chat with you again tomorrow :-)

  1. I really like Infuze magazine! What Ir really like is you do not feel like you are reading articles that just fully criticize something, you will say its merits and worth even if the content is shaky. Thank you Mr. Parrish for your intelligent site, I really love reading the reviews! This site is the best Christian Entertainment site out there.

  2. I love the simple one question per day format you've got here. That makes it so much less daunting than some of the wonderful, but very very long interviews I've seen elsewhere.
